9 nov.

when I was at PBS today
the lady Chelsy was a singer
then she told me the air does
not really go in your stomach
and you don't use the air in your
stomach to sing and all that

WTF.. um it's completely
different from what I have
learned before ... I've always
been told to use my stomach
and the fact is I do find it easier
to sing to use my stomach .....

so i don't know maybe she
sings differently than I do

8 Nov. 2009

I went to see Michael Jackson's film "this is it" today
man he's such an amazing performer and the way he sings
it seems to me that he feels how sing more than to just "sing"
i meant as in, just to make the voice, he actually is telling something
and he was really good at that , simple, but so confroting

i should think about that too
i've been thinking how to make sound
rather than how i feel the sound should be

Wednesday

alright i really should not be doing this
because i wish to finish my animatic today
so just a quick updates ...

i still have trouble balancing or controlling
where my voice box is .. but i've been walking
from home to school and practicing singing on
all the way, it takes about 30 mins

but now i can sing for about 30 mins saosin's
songs without straining or hurting my voice

and by the way its sometimes so hard
to find a place to pratice singing because
my voice is so loud and i like to sing songs
with high notes

more works on that
see ya soon

balance, transaction, tone, strentch your voice

I think you need to find a balance
between inhale singing and exhale singing
too much on the inhale side, the tone would
be flat and your breathing can not be smooth
you're not opening enough of your throat either

but inhale singing has a very unique tone that
exhale singing can not make ..... does that work
with screaming as well ??

the other thing I was thinking was that most
of the time you don't really sing with your voice
but your ears , which is very much like balance
with one leg, without visual reference, it is really
hard to balance, same thing goes for singing,
without the ears, we might sing like shit

but what about live singing then ??
you basically can not hear anything
on stage ... that could be totally fucked
if you never experienced .......

by by all means, you listen to every artist's
voice carefully and try to figure how they
make those sound and try it out yourself !

with screaming the guy who did the video
just told me to try it out and record yourself
to get better, i figure it works well, because i
did that a lot as well

alright more updates coming up
when i have something cool
